Dana Hills High School's Guidance Department in cooperation with our PTSA is planning an event to support all senior students in their next phase of life:

• trade school

• community college

• 4-year college/university

The Beyond the Pod: A DHHS College & Career Event will be a 2-day event held during school hours where seniors will use the time allocated for their English class on either November 7 or 8 to attend workshops on the following topics:

• Community College Applications

• Cal State Applications (volunteer training flyer below)

• UC Applications (volunteer training flyer below)

• Common Application

• FAFSA/Dream Act

• Local Scholarships

• OCC Certificate Programs

• Military

• Resume and Job Interviews

We need 25 Parent Volunteers to help our event run efficiently.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING FOR COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOPS

We need a few parent volunteers who are experienced with completing college applications. The Orange County Department of Education is supporting our parent volunteers by providing FREE TRAINING on 

October 2, 2019. The deadline to register is September 25, 2019.

NOTE: You should only do this training if you want to volunteer in the College Application workshops at the Beyond the Pod event.
